优势识别器对阅读能力有什么要求？达不到要求的人可采用什么替代方案？
我们在设计优势识别器时，意在让阅读能力达到8至10级的人（大部分14岁的少年都能达到）都能完成测试。我们在实施青年领导研究项目时，试用过优势识别器，表明十几岁的少年完成优势识别器测试没有遇到什么常见的大问题。作为替代，可以关闭测试计时器，以便查字典或询问某个词的词义。
优势识别器是否适用于非英语群体？
盖洛普和其他研究机构都有大量证据说明，类似优势识别器所度量的那些个性维度是跨文化的。改变的是得分的高低，而不是主题的性质。优势识别器目前有7种语言的版本，2001年还将翻译成其他语言。按语言分类的预期得分数据库正在构建中。
被测者可从优势识别器得到什么反馈？
星测试者参加优势识别器测试的目的不尽相同，反馈也相应不同。有时测试者得到的报告只列出其得分最虞美人五大主题。其他情况下，测试者从一名盖洛普顾问处获得个人反馈，或与同事一起参加有专家指导的团队建设小组会，分析其余29个主题，并获得有关每个主题的行动建议。
